Flowers Suitable for Sowing in Suzhou in June
1. Planting

The species of flowers and trees that can be planted in June include primrose, lotus seed, cycad, loquat and wintersweet. For Chimonanthus praecox, when the pot-shaped fruit sac on the fruiting mother tree turns from green to yellow, then from yellow to brown, and the seeds inside are brown, it can be picked; Peel off the fruit sac in time, take out the seeds, soak them in cold water for 24-36 hours, and then bury them in clean wet sand to accelerate germination. The seeds can be exposed in about 2 weeks, and then ditching and sowing; The thickness of covering soil is generally 2 cm to 3 cm, and it is covered with straw to keep moisture. After most cotyledons of seeds are unearthed, cover grass should be removed for 2 ~ 3 times, and shed should be set up in time for shade.

Step 2 cut

In summer, the temperature is high and the humidity is high, and the cambium activity in the branches of flowers and trees is vigorous, which is the best time for cutting propagation of flowers and trees. There are two kinds of flowers and trees suitable for softwood cutting in summer. One is the tree species that are difficult or slow to take root by hardwood cutting, such as osmanthus fragrans, camellia, Michelia, Ilex cornuta, clove, Magnolia grandiflora, sessile begonia, snowball, Qionghua, coral tree, Erythrina, Belgian rhododendron, Phyllostachys pubescens (with aerial roots), rubber tree, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Taxodium ascendens and so on. The other kind is relatively easy to take root, such as Buxus, Rose, Pyracantha fortunei, Admiralty, Yingchun, Jasmine, Pomegranate, Hibiscus, Goldfinch, Jasmine, Eupatorium odoratum, Phyllanthus urinaria, Prunus mume, Tang Di, Phyllanthus urinaria, Bergamot, Lemon, Podocarpus, Nandina domestica, Lingxiao and Tenjikukatsura. It also includes a large number of other grass flowers, such as golden dragon with five claws, Euphorbia humifusa, Trollius chinensis, Spartina japonica, Qian Qiu tea, aquatic plants, Eclipta prostrata, geranium, colored grass, begonia, pansy, ginger, malachite, marigold, sulfur chrysanthemum and so on.

Take Camellia japonica and Osmanthus fragrans as examples: the cutting time is from early June to mid-July, and it is most ideal for osmanthus fragrans and Camellia japonica to be semi-lignified; The matrix can be yellow soil, sandy soil or vermiculite; The cuttings are new shoots of the year, with a length of 65,438+00 cm ~ 65,438+05 cm, leaving only two or three leaves at the end. The lower incision was soaked in 500 mg/kg of 1 # ABT rooting powder or NAA for 10 second, and then inserted into the seedbed after a little drying. The cutting depth is 1/2 ~ 2/3 of the cutting length, and the plant spacing is 2cm× 8cm. After watering, put the bamboo bow on the seedbed, then cover it with plastic film, and press it around with soil to set up a double-layer shade shed to keep the bed wet. The temperature in the membrane is controlled at about 30℃ and the humidity is kept above 90%. Generally, cuttings can take root in large quantities after one month.

graft

* Grafting, using potted Chimonanthus praecox seedlings as rootstocks, * Grafting fine Chimonanthus praecox varieties; Potted Magnolia grandiflora and Magnolia grandiflora seedlings were used as rootstocks for grafting Magnolia grandiflora and Michelia. Bud grafting: using wild rose seedlings as rootstocks, grafting and propagating excellent rose varieties; One-year-old seedlings such as apricot, peach and plum were used as rootstocks, and Shoutao, Bi Tao, Purple Plum, Hongye Peach, Mume Plum and Elm were propagated by bud grafting.
