Deng Guowei, Vice President of Cangxi Middle School
Deng Guowei Deng Guowei (1944 ~), a native of Guangzhou. From 1979, he entered the postgraduate class of Chinese Department of Sun Yat-sen University, studied under Professor Wu Hongcong and Professor Chen Zeguang, and graduated from 1982 with a master's degree in literature, where he stayed as a teacher. He used to be the director of the teaching and research section of modern and contemporary literature in China. Now he is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Chinese Department of Sun Yat-sen University. The main published works are: The History of China's New Literature (I) (co-authored), Back to the Wilderness of Hometown (co-authored), Lu Xun's Prose Research Series (co-authored), The History of Modern Literature in China, The Self-study Manual of Modern Literature in China (co-authored), Poetry Tide in the South (co-edited) and so on. Among them, "Back to the Wilderness of Hometown" won the first prize. In addition, there are more than 100 professional papers and literary criticism essays, as well as a small number of poems and prose works. Social part-time jobs include: director of China Lu Xun Society, vice president of Guangdong Lu Xun Research Association, deputy editor-in-chief of Lu Xun World Quarterly, vice president of Guangdong Pearl River Culture Research Association, and deputy secretary general of Guangdong Literature Critics Association. Member of China Modern Literature Research Association and Guangdong Literature Society.
