Generally speaking, Lafite red wine is mainly the world's top Lafite castle red wine, also known as big Lafite, and Lafite winery also produces Lafite treasures, called little Lafite. In fact, the full name of Lafite red wine is "Lafite Rothschild", and Lafite winery belongs to Rothschild family property.
The real Lafite is Lafite Village in Puyile Village, Bordeaux, France, with an annual output of 20,000-30,000 boxes (per box 12, 750ml each). Lafite's deputy brand wine is called "Little Lafite" Carruades de Lafite.
The history of Lafite
The history of Lafite can be traced back to A.D. 1234. In this era, monasteries spread all over French villages and towns, and Vertheuil Monastery in the north of pauillac is the location of Lafite Manor today.
18/868. Baron James de Rothschild bought Lafayette Castle in a public auction for 4.4 million francs, becoming its most important wine brand.
Besides Lafite Castle and Lafite Treasures, Lafite Rothschild has also developed four series, namely Lafite Legend, Lafite Legend, Lafite Collection and Lafite Shangpin, each series including Bordeaux Red, Bordeaux White, Medoc and Pojak. Of course, the smaller the producing area, the higher the quality, which is still in line with the French wine grading system.
