Tengzhou Martyrs Cemetery is located in Renshan, Dawu Town, Tengzhou City. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Tengzhou (formerly tengxian) was the main battlefield against the Japanese army, and the famous tengxian Defence War and the People's Armed Uprising against Japan took place. On March 1938 and 15, more than 30,000 Japanese troops, under the cover of artillery and planes, went south along Jinpu Road and invaded tengxian. Wang, commander of the National Revolutionary Army Army122nd Division, led more than 4,000 Sichuan Army soldiers to stop the Japanese army in tengxian. After three days of fierce fighting, they all died heroically. Li Zongren once spoke highly of "how can there be a great victory in Taierzhuang without the suffering of tengxian". On May 2 1938 and 2 1 day, China * * * tengxian Teke held an armed uprising against Japanese aggression in Nantang, tengxian, and established the People's Anti-Japanese Volunteers in Lunan, which was later incorporated into the Eighth Route Army 1 15 Division. To commemorate the martyrs who died in the defending war of tengxian and the armed uprising of the people in southern Shandong against Japan, 1962 established the tengxian Martyrs Cemetery, and 1985 changed its name to Tengzhou Martyrs Cemetery. The cemetery covers an area of 410.4 million square meters, with a building area of10.2 million square meters. It has a memorial hall for the people's anti-Japanese armed uprising in southern Shandong, a famous hero monument pavilion, a hero garden, and a big weapon square. The cemetery is a national anti-Japanese war memorial facility, a provincial martyrs memorial facility protection unit in Shandong Province, an anti-corruption education base in Shandong Province and a national defense education base in Shandong Province.
