Ba Li Town, Mengcheng County is located in the southwest border of Mengcheng County. It is famous for planting cotton, peanuts and yellow flowers, and is known as the "hometown of three flowers". Ba Li is not only rich in products, but also has a long history, which can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty more than 1000 years ago.

It is said that in the first year of Tang Guang Palace (684), Wu Zetian lived in the imperial court. Tang Zhongzong was soon abolished, and Yu Wang's youngest son, Li Dan, was made emperor, namely Tang Ruizong, but the actual power was in the hands of Wu Zetian and Wu Shi's consorts. As soon as the Li royal family saw that Wu Zetian was going to be proclaimed emperor instead of Jiangshan, they were ready to unite against Wu Zetian.

Since Wu Zetian came to power, she has greatly promoted the title of Wu Jia and slaughtered the Li royal family, making many people in the Li royal family talk about Wu Zetian. Therefore, when the kings agreed to go to war with each other, many people hesitated and flinched. Only the eighth son, Li Zhen, his eldest son and his son's plot against Wu and Wu Zetian failed. Soon, Li Chong was defeated and killed, and Li Zhen committed suicide by taking poison.

In order to avoid being implicated in the nine imperial families, other descendants of Li Zhen changed their names and surnames in succession, and fled everywhere, struggling to survive under the butcher's knife of Wu Zetian. So, in a remote place more than 60 miles southwest of Mengcheng County, a beggar in rags came. Seeing that the family of four was poor, the local people brought them hot rice and soup, took out extra clothes and put them here. With everyone's help, the family built a simple shed with bamboo fences. Since then, there has been another family named Mu.

The Mu family is kind-hearted, the couple are ingenious, and a pair of children are lively and lovely, which quickly won everyone's trust. There is a road in front of their shed in buddhist nun, which is also the only way to Yingzhou in the south of Mengcheng. The couple set up a tea stall in front of their house to let passers-by quench their thirst in the summer. When children grow up, they also help their parents run their businesses. Business is booming and life is getting richer. Small tea stalls have developed into small teahouses, small teahouses have developed into inns, and inns have developed into small markets. Later, the children of the Mu family also got married, and the population increased rapidly, but only one thing remained unchanged for many years, that is, although his family was rich, they still lived in simple houses built with bamboo fences, including inns, all of which were built with bamboo fences.

Many people can't understand this practice of the Mu family. I don't know why this family built a house with bamboo fences. Although people don't understand, the tea and rice in the fence room are fragrant, and the warm smell of people in the fence still makes people feel very warm. Later, the emerging market here was affectionately called "Fence Set", where passers-by were willing to stop and rest, and the Fence Set became more and more prosperous.

Decades later, when Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty ascended the throne, a group of Li royal families who were killed by Wu Zetian were rehabilitated, and their surnames, ancestral homes and titles were restored. Li Zhen and posthumous title were reburied and sealed. Soon, the Mu family also quietly left the fence set in reluctance, leaving a clean fence inn. Only then did people suddenly realize that the "fence" was the "Ba Li". It turns out that this is one of Li's royal families! In the process of Li's royal family fleeing, they were obsessed with family harmony. Because it is not convenient to disclose more information, they can only express their expectations with the help of homophones.

In the early days of the People's Republic of China, Mengcheng County established Li Fen Township here. 1992, Li Fen Township merged with Ji Guo Township, which was called Li Fen Township. In 2000, it was renamed "Li Fen Town". In today's Li Fen Town, pear blossoms are in full bloom in spring, melons and fruits are fragrant in autumn, peanuts in Li Fen are full, and Huang Huali in Li Fen is sweet and crisp. As a local specialty, it has become a beautiful business card to promote the image of Mengcheng.
