Cangxi County is located in the northern margin of Sichuan Basin, at the low foot of the southern foot of Daba Mountain, in the hilly area of Zhongshan, between 3137'-3210' north latitude and 0/05 43'-106 28' east longitude. Nanjiang County and Bazhong County in the east, Langzhong County in the south, Jiange County in the west and wangcang county and Yuanba District in the north. The perimeter of the jurisdiction is 620 kilometers and the area is 2346.46 square kilometers. The distances from the county seat to Guangyuan and Chengdu are 78km and 2 15km respectively.
Cangxi county is a low mountainous area with high terrain in the northeast and low terrain in the southwest. Heimaoliang, Jiulong Mountain and Ganlongshan, which are more than 0/000 meters above sea level/kloc-0, are located in the north and northeast, and the middle and low mountains are winding. The elevation of the main peak of Jiulong Mountain is 1.377 meters, and the south of backwater, Shimen and Qiping is a deep mountain and hilly area. The hills are mostly platform-shaped and stepped, and alluvial terraces can be seen along the river. The lowest estuary in Bamiao Town is 353 meters above sea level. The rivers in the territory are criss-crossed, severely cut, with complex terrain, steep mountains and deep valleys, including flat dams, terraces, hills, low mountains and terraces, mainly low mountains.
