Baoji is located at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Sichuan provinces (regions), in the center of xi, Lanzhou, Yinchuan and Chengdu, with east longitude10618'-10803' and north latitude of 33 35'-35 06. Longhai Railway, baoji-chengdu railway Railway and Baozhong Railway meet here, which is the third cross hub on the Eurasian Continental Bridge in China.
Baoji borders Xianyang and Yangling demonstration zones in the east, Hanzhong in the south and Tianshui and Pingliang in Gansu in the northwest. Nanping of Qinling Mountains, the middle reaches of Weishui River, is blocked by Longxi in the north and Woye Plain in the north of Weibei, with a length of 156.6km from east to west and a width of 160.6km from north to south, with a total area of1817km2, of which the urban area is 3625km2.
Hydrological characteristics
The river network arrangement in Baoji City is bounded by Qinling Mountains and belongs to the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. The Yellow River system is mainly the Weihe River system with the Weihe River as its main stream, and its main tributaries are Tongguan River, Xiaoshui River, Qingjiang River, Shitou River, Tangyu River, Jinling River, Heqian River and Qishui River. The Weihe River runs through Baoji City for 20.6 1 km, with an average annual runoff of 355 1 100 million cubic meters.
The Yangtze River system is dominated by the upper reaches of Jialing River, and its main tributaries are Jianglonggou, Beixinggou, Anhe, Shijiagou, Xiaoyuhe and Wangyu River. The length of rivers in Baoji city is 72 kilometers, with an average annual runoff of 5.627 billion cubic meters. On the south side of the main ridge of Qinling Mountains, there are tributaries of the Han River system such as Sushui River and Hongya River.
