The origin of hospitality in Ming dynasty
Sweet potato powder is the specialty of Xiang 'an. Sweet potato powder is the first dish for Xiang 'an people to entertain guests during festivals. It is said that this custom was inherited from Hong Chaoxuan, a new shop owner in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. According to legend, during the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, Hong Chaoxuan of Hongcuo Village, Xindian Town, Xiang 'an was born in a poor family. On the eve of the exam in Beijing, his mother wanted to cook a "delicious" meal to see her son off, but there was only a little porridge, sweet potato powder and jellyfish and amphioxus sent by others at home. Mother mixed the sweet potato powder and porridge with water and stirred it into a paste, then put it in a pot and baked it into a thin sweet potato skin. After cooking, she cut it into strips and mixed it with Shanghai oysters and amphioxus to make a big bowl of sweet potato vermicelli. Hong Chaoxuan skillfully ate his mother's hometown meal and felt particularly sweet and delicious.
Hong Chao chose the top student in high school and went home to visit relatives. To celebrate his becoming a senior official, the villagers carefully prepared a sumptuous banquet, ranging from delicacies to delicacies. Good dishes were served plate after plate, 36 courses were served, and even the last sweet soup was served. He quickly asked the village boss in a low voice: "Why hasn't the sweet potato powder cake come up yet?" Everyone was puzzled by this question, because everyone didn't know about this dish, so they asked Mu Hong about it carefully. Fortunately, the materials are ready-made, and it won't be long before a big bowl of sweet potato powder is served. Everyone tasted it and it was delicious. Hong Chaoxuan is even more full of praise: "The sweet potato powder in my hometown is delicious, and there will be sweet potato powder in the future!"
