The root (Trichosanthes kirilowii root), fruit (Trichosanthes kirilowii fruit), pericarp (Trichosanthes kirilowii bark) and seed (Trichosanthes kirilowii kernel) have antipyretic, thirst-quenching, diuretic, antitussive and expectorant effects. Seeds contain fat, flower oil and oil.
