According to the news, the Red Flag "S-Series Super Run" project is a tripartite cooperation among Changchun Municipal Government, China FAW and American Silco Company. The supercar manufacturing and delivery center will be located in Changchun, which will be built in three phases, and will gradually realize the domestic assembly and delivery of red flags S9 and S7 supercars, as well as the domestic manufacturing and delivery of red flags S5 and S3.

In other words, the current red flag super-run plan is still in the preparatory stage and has not been officially put into production. However, since the words have been released and there are detailed plans, it shows that Hongqi is seriously doing super-running!

Among the above four supercars, only the S9 concept car unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year was exposed. Judging from the concept car that was unveiled before, Hongqi S9 is still avant-garde and futuristic.

The vehicle is made of ultra-light carbon fiber and will be equipped with a hybrid system based on a turbocharged V8 engine. Its maximum power is 1.400 horsepower (concept car data), and its maximum speed is over 400 km/h. 2. What is the origin of American Silco?

Red Flag Super Run is not "going it alone", but cooperating with an American company called silk EV. For hongqi, there is no experience in developing super-running, and it is not surprising to ask experts for advice. So what exactly is this company?

It is reported that Silk EV was founded on 20 19 and its headquarters is located at No.270, American Avenue, new york, USA. Quote official reports: This is a world-class sports car design and manufacturing enterprise, and also participated in the research and development of supercars such as Bugatti Hang Hui and pagani Zonda.

3. Before the red flag, how did domestic brands interpret the "super-running dream"?

In fact, before the Red Flag, the domestic camp has been trying to make a breakthrough in the field of "sports cars". Jiang Ge summed up that there are four main States for domestic brands to interpret "Super Run Dream".

(1) Fake sports car, neither good nor good-looking.

Many domestic brands have been trying to build so-called sports cars in the early days, such as Geely Beauty Leopard, China Kubao GT, BYD S8 and so on, which are called "the first run in China". Of course, due to the limited technology, most of the performances are very ordinary, and the appearance is a bit like "painting a gourd to learn a gourd ladle."

Later, the dream of super-running of domestic brands mostly stayed in the concept car stage, and the Dachuan market was too far away. Two of them are representative. The first model is Weilai EP9, which once set a new lap time record for electric vehicles in the North Ring Road of New Bogeling, and later became famous in World War I. As for whether the sports car plan will continue, the official has no relevant plans for the time being.

(3) Really facing the public, but not supporting it.

Of course, domestic brands are not only cottage sports cars or concept cars, but also the future brands of new forces. In 20 18, they launched a truly mass-produced "China pure electric city sports car"-K50. This car not only has the super-running appearance with high turn-back rate that Chinese people like, but also has zero acceleration of 4.6s, and the key price is only over 700,000.

(4) With deep pockets, buy the Super Run brand directly.

Finally, people with deep pockets like Geely. Instead of tinkering, I directly bought the British super-running brand-Rust, which was once as famous as Ferrari and Porsche. Although it can be seen as helping Geely realize its dream of sports car in disguise, the super-running created by others has little to do with Geely, so it is difficult to connect the two.

4. What is the picture of Red Flag Super Run?

Generally speaking, domestic brands are interested in sports cars or supercars, but the reality is too cruel. So far, nothing can really carry the banner. Better than Geely can only be achieved through acquisition. Compared with the above four states, the red flag has two main differences:

The first is that it is not just a super run, but a series; The second is that although the family is a Sino-foreign cooperation, the red flag is dominant, and after it comes out, it will be a serious red flag supercar, not a purchase of Geely. If you are ambitious, the red flag is undoubtedly bigger than other domestic brands in the past.

But super-running is a money-burning thing after all. At present, there are not many sports car manufacturers who can really make money, let alone novices in the industry like Hongqi. In addition, considering the technical difficulty, brand appeal and the lessons won by many domestic brands in the past ... these can't stop Hongqi from doing super-running, and it is impossible to specify without enough ambition.

So what drives the red flag to "take the lead" in the super-run market? In fact, the reason is very simple, which is to enhance the brand image. According to the plan, in the next five years, Hongqi brand will form a pattern covering 265,438+0 products in four series: L (Supreme Car), S (Coupe), H (Mainstream Car) and Q (Commercial Vehicle).
