Brief introduction of Yajiang Bridge in Panzhihua
Panzhihua Yajiang Bridge, also known as 0 1 bridge, is located at the intersection of Yalong River and Jinsha River 100 meters. The bridge was completed in June 1966, and it is the first bridge in Panzhihua. Its main span is176m, ranking first among similar bridges in China in 1960s.

From June 1964 to June/1,Shihua Highway and Yajiang Bridge were completed and opened to traffic. It took only four months to shorten the distance from Chengdu to Panzhihua by 9 1 km, and the span of Yajiang Bridge was171.

The structure is a steel stiffened truss suspension bridge, which was the largest suspension bridge in China at that time. On the girders on both sides of the bridge, there are three vigorous and powerful Chinese characters "Yajiang Bridge", which was inscribed by Guo Moruo, a great master. Yajiang Bridge has been the throat fortress of automobile transportation on Panbei Line since it was opened to traffic.

1In August, 1982, the Municipal Bridge Engineering Office carried out technical transformation of Yajiang Bridge, adopting new technologies of orthotropic fully welded structural steel deck and rubber asphalt. The reconstructed bridge deck has reasonable structure, light weight, comfortable driving, enhanced corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Over the years, Yajiang Bridge has been quietly dedicated to the construction of Panzhihua.

Yalong River Bridge is located on Shihua Highway at the confluence of Yalong River and Jinsha River, with a total length of 240.88 meters, asphalt concrete deck and a clear width of 7 meters, with sidewalks on both sides. Each bridge is 0.75m wide, with design loads of steam- 13 and tow-60. It is the first long-span suspension bridge in China.

The bridge is a steel truss suspension bridge with a main span of 17 1.90m, a single span of 20m on the left bank approach bridge and two spans of 15m on the right bank approach bridge. This bridge was designed by the Survey Institute of Sichuan Provincial Communications Department, constructed by the First Engineering Office of Sichuan Provincial Communications Department, and started on February 26th. 1965.
