Every year on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month), dust removal and cleaning are generally required, and a ceremony of offering sacrifices to stoves is held. The kitchen is usually run by a man at home. Before midnight, we lit incense sticks in the kitchen to provide maltose, threw "horse feed" into the air at the gate from the kitchen to feed the kitchen horses, and recited the words "God speaks well and the world is safe". This move is called "sending the kitchen". The preparations for the Spring Festival celebrations began on this day.
It is the last day of the twelfth lunar month, that is, New Year's Eve. Feidong people regard New Year's Eve as a day for family reunion and celebration. On this day, shops will open early and close at noon, and other business people will close for the Spring Festival in the afternoon. Handicraft workers usually put away tools and other things in the afternoon, indicating that the year's work is over and they are waiting for the New Year. At the same time, they use the rest time of the New Year Festival to plan the New Year well. To make a living in a foreign land, unless there is no way, you usually go home for the New Year on this day. Even if you don't earn money outside, as long as you go home safely, your parents, wife and children will be happy.
On this day, every family sticks Spring Festival couplets: every family sticks Spring Festival couplets before eating New Year's Eve, and sticks them after the store closes; Sticking the word "Fu": Stick the word "Fu" on the paper in red and stick it upside down on the door, window and gate. Some people even write the words "Fu", "Lu" and "Shou" together, which means happiness, longevity and wealth. Stick small red couplets: write some auspicious words on the stove, cupboard, animal cage, etc. Sacrifice to the gods and ancestors: lay people light incense sticks, offer a cup of fragrant tea, a lamp of rice and two red dates, make three pious worships in front of the tablets of "Lord of Heaven and Earth" and "Ancestor", and place incense sticks in the kitchen, outside the door, at the intersection and at the well altar to worship "Kitchen God", "Door God" and "Door God" respectively. Eat New Year's Eve: set off firecrackers and fireworks before eating, enjoy the most tidy, rich and warm meal in a year, * * * taste delicious food and * * * celebrate family reunion. The "Top Ten Bowls" of the reunion dinner must include harmonious dishes (mixed with shredded vegetables, which means harmony), happy dishes, roasted meat with bean curd, fried dumplings and silver ingot fish, which are the beautiful sustenance and wishes of the family for "prosperity in all things", "happiness in all seasons", "family reunion" and "more than one year". After dinner, the younger generation will bid farewell to their elders and wish them health, happiness and longevity. The elders will wish the younger generation to grow sturdily and become a pillar at an early date, and give the younger generation lucky money on the spot (generally referring to minors and unmarried children and grandchildren). Some people also put lucky money and square cakes in the new clothes and shoes they wear the next morning, and wish the children a bright future with the homonym of "cake" and "money". After a period of joy, the family washed up and went to sleep one after another. At this time, the lay man lit candles, burned incense, bowed to the door god, and waited for the arrival of the New Year. Many people like to put the "first shot" in the middle of the time sequence update (zero point) and put it in front of their neighbors in order to win the "first prize" in the new year.
In the early morning of the first day of the first month, the rooster crows, the lay man lights incense candles, worships the "God" and "Ancestor" again, and then worships the "Door God" devoutly for three times, which is the first "good start" of the New Year. After opening the gate, the lay man still disposes of incense outside the gate, at the intersection, at the well altar and other places to worship various gods, and then starts to set off firecrackers to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. On New Year's Day, only the closest relatives and neighbors pay New Year greetings to each other. Old people will also go to temples to burn incense and worship Buddha, praying for the safety and happiness of the whole family. As an important communication activity during the Spring Festival, New Year's greetings reached a climax in the third to fourth days and gradually ended during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period.
On the fifteenth day of the first month, the Lantern Festival, also known as "Shangyuan Festival", is celebrated by every household. In the past, on the thirteenth day of the first month, in order to check whether the lanterns made at home were bright or not, we had to try the lights at night. Every household made rice flour cakes, which was called "trying the lights". In the evening, there are lion dances, dragon lanterns, walking on stilts and boating. There are gongs and drums everywhere, lanterns all over the sky, and people are buzzing.
