At present, the solar panels of BMW Shenyang production base cover an area of 290,000 square meters. By the end of 2022, the annual power generation will reach 60,000 MWh, and the annual carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by nearly 45,000 tons. In addition, BMW Brilliance also actively participated in the national green power trading pilot, and the green power trading reached 2.78 billion kWh, ranking first in the country. These measures will meet almost all the renewable energy power demand of Shenyang production base by 2025.

BMW Shenyang production base also actively adopts advanced technology to help achieve carbon emission reduction targets. In 20021year, Lida factory and Dadong expansion project completed the first batch of cogeneration systems (CHP) using natural gas in Liaoning, and realized the energy conversion from coal to natural gas. The most prominent thing is the factory's management of water resources, that is, reducing water consumption, promoting the management of reclaimed water resources, and truly achieving "water leakage." Through various improvement measures, the water consumption is decreasing. In 20021year, BMW Brilliance realized a single production water consumption of 1.82 cubic meters/set. This year, the painting workshop of Dadong Factory took the lead in realizing the recycling of 100% industrial water, and the consumption of tap water was reduced to zero. Based on the estimated output in 2022, water can be saved by150,000 cubic meters, which is equivalent to the capacity of10.5 "water cubic meters" buildings.

In addition, through close cooperation with steel manufacturing supplier partners, BMW successfully sent 57,000 tons of steel back to the production line through closed-loop recycling in 20021year, equivalent to the weight of five Eiffel Towers. Now, in the BMW Shenyang production base, 99% of the factory waste has been reused.
