The Spring Festival is on the first day of February in the lunar calendar, offering sacrifices to the land gods and praying for a bumper harvest. People are used to drinking Zhonghe wine and Yichun wine, saying that it can cure ear diseases, so people also call it "deaf wine". Li in the Song Dynasty wrote in a poem: "Social people are not in the mood today and want a bottle of wine for the deaf. Disturbed Yutang will think about the past and vaguely patrol the third hall. "
The traditional customs of the Spring Society
Rural drama performance (held on religious festivals)
Also known as social fire, it is a legacy of the Southern Song Dynasty. In many areas (such as Zhili, Huozhou, Fenxi and Jingzhou), in the Spring Society, people will chip in to perform social dramas according to the size and status of the village. In Linfen, Shanxi Province, there is also the custom of holding incense parties and pretending to be a social fire.
Social sacrifice
As the original purpose of the Spring Festival, social sacrifice is also the custom of the Spring Festival in many places. For example, in the Spring Festival societies in Liuhe, Jingshan, Xuan 'en and Yingshan (now Guangshui County, Hubei Province), people will either gather gold utensils and wine glasses and steam rice into cakes, or make rice cakes to worship the land gods.
Wu Zhu
In the local chronicles of the Qing Dynasty, there are also many local communities that have the custom of delaying witchcraft to worship ancestors. Witches make vows, and many places (such as Luotian, Zhongxiang, Shishou and Yongding) beat gongs and drums to welcome God.
