Bandong Town is located in the south of Minqing County. The town government is located in Hutou, 25 kilometers away from the county seat. The east, south, west and north are bounded by Sanxi, Tazhuang, Zhong Bai, Baizhang and Yunlong respectively. The center is surrounded by mountains, forming the widest flat basin in the county, with a width of 6 kilometers and a length of 4 kilometers, which is called "six oceans" in history.
