In Tielu Village, Luochuan County. Xingping Temple was built in Chongzhen, Zhu Youjian for five years (1632). The temple was destroyed by fire and is still in ruins. There are 62 huge silk paintings (169 1) of the water and land Dojo painted by the Qing Dynasty sage Michelle Ye Kangxi, which survived the temple fire.
This painting is called "The Origin of Daxiong Land and Water". "Daxiong" is the name of the Buddha, and the land and water Dojo is also called Land and Water Dharma, Land and Water Conference, Land and Water Fasting and Land and Water Fasting Seminar. The Land and Water Dharma Meeting is the most solemn ceremony in China's Buddhist scriptures and confessions. The shortest is 7 days and the longest is 49 days. There are dozens or hundreds of monks who take part in rituals, chanting instruments, worshipping Buddha and the dead. The altar of the Dharma Association is divided into an inner altar and an outer altar. The ceremony was mainly held in the inner altar, with three Buddha statues hanging in the middle: Pilu Jinna Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha and Amitabha Buddha. There is an altar below, where incense lamps, candles and fruits are placed. The inner altar is surrounded by curtains, which are divided into three rooms. On both sides of the main hall, 10 land and water portraits are hung.
The characters in this painting are generally divided into two categories: one is the image of the gods of Buddhism and Taoism, such as Buddha, Bodhisattva, Marshal Zhao Gong, and the land god. One kind is secular figures, including enemies, creditors, hungry ghosts, tigers bite snakes, cars run over horses and so on.
This painting is very beautiful, it has been more than 300 years, and the color is as good as new. It is a valuable material for studying folk art and painting.
