China Opera is the largest and oldest national art theater in China, which belongs to the Ministry of Culture of People's Republic of China (PRC). It integrates a variety of art categories, including opera troupe, dance troupe, national orchestra, symphony orchestra, creative department and beauty department. The theater was founded in 195 1, and its predecessor can be traced back to Lu Xun Art College in Yan 'an. The first president was the famous artist Zhou, and the current president is Tao Cheng, a doctor of musicology.
