Du Gao ancient city
Du Gao's political and strategic position in history, from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, is said to have been to Du Gao by more than a dozen emperors. At present, some ancient buildings in China are still named after the emperor's palace. Today, several courtyards in the southwest of Du Gao Town, such as the East Palace, the West Palace and the Palace, are all incomplete, but the deep houses still exude the coldness and majesty of the ancient style.

Du Gao has a long history and culture, which makes its temples, courtyards, pavilions, museums and other ancient buildings extremely rich. At that time, there were not only ten temples, seven attics, but also four towering city gates in the east, west, north and south. Above the city gates, plaques such as "Mountain City", "Golden City Gate", "Southern Hebei Alliance Leader" and "Northern Henan Barrier" were engraved respectively.

Up to now, the most complete ancient building in the territory is Dongyue Temple in the east of the village. The temple was built in the reign of Jin Dading (A.D.11-1189) and is a quadrangle. The main buildings include the mountain gate, Apocalypse Hall, Baiting Pavilion, Annex Hall and cloisters on both sides, covering an area of 1.800 square meters. The main hall, the Apocalypse Hall, is three rooms wide and six rafters deep, with a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain, glazed tile ridge and covered tile on the top. The arches under the eaves are simple, and the beams in the hall are neat. The threshold stands on the cheek, the lintel is made of stone, and patterns such as lotus, peony and metaplasia boy are engraved on the carving line. Build a rolling shed and a pavilion on the platform in front of the temple. In the middle of the hall is a brick altar, on which five gods are enshrined. The main god is Dongyue God with the plus sign "Apocalypse" in the Tang Dynasty. The base of the altar is waist-tied, and the brick carving has a variety of flower patterns, which is very elegant and exquisite. It was announced by Shanxi Province as a key cultural relics protection unit. Wannian Bridge, located outside the south gate of Dugao, was built in the 48th year of Qingganlong (A.D. 1783). This bridge is beautiful in design and unique in style. Made of thick stone, with four piers and three holes, the total length is 23.5 meters, and each hole is 5.6 meters. The bridge stones are reinforced with iron wedges. The four piers are all engraved with the head of Shi Niu to prevent the river from flooding and benefit the villagers. Fifty years ago, the scenery here was infinite, and the river under the bridge was deep and crystal clear. Later, because the riverbed was gradually silted up and no one cleaned it up, although the horses and chariots could still drive, Shi Niu was flooded and bridge opening was buried, and Wannian Bridge had lost its grandeur and momentum. At present, the well-preserved Ming and Qing quadrangles in Du Gao Town mainly include the palace courtyard in Nanjie, the hall courtyard in Fu Bao Village, the courtyard of others, Shunxingtang and the courtyard of Chengjia Bagua in mountain products Village. "Tangyuan" and "Renjiayuan" are located in the north of the main street of Fu Bao Village. The gates are all built on a six-story bluestone platform, with exquisite wood carvings carved under the eaves and an attic above the door. There are two or three inner courtyards on the left, right and north of the passage, and their door decorations and window sills are very fine, which is a fine work in the residential buildings of Du Gao Town. The "Chengjia Bagua Courtyard" in mountain products Village was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty. Among them, there are two courtyards to the north of Cunjie Road and three courtyards on Gaogang to the east of Yuanxiang. Looking from a distance, it is a row of contiguous ancient houses, which is very imposing. These courtyards have the same shape. There are only three rooms in the North Building and the South Building, but there are six rooms in the East and West Buildings. Because of the need of geomantic omen, the master put a low flower wall in the yard, which made the yard look tall and broad, simple and solemn.
