The Intangible Cultural Heritage of Jingxi, Guangxi —— Hydrangea
Speaking of hydrangea!

Everyone's first reaction may be Sister Liu, which is popular all over the country!

In fact, the history of hydrangea in Zhuang nationality has been 2000 years. On March 3 every year, on the festival of ethnic minorities, boys and girls sing folk songs, and girls find their lovers, so they throw hydrangeas at each other as tokens of their love.

The hydrangeas seen outside now are actually some ordinary rough hydrangeas.

In fact, there are two kinds of hydrangea, one is called Ping Xiu, and the other is called heap embroidery.

Pile embroidery technology is complex, and it is difficult for ordinary people to learn it.

What's the difference between Ping Xiu and Dui embroidery?

A few days ago, I visited an old artist in Jingxi, Guangxi, and learned the magic of this pile of embroidery.

Her name is Huang Xiaoqin, and her embroidery skills are unique in Fiona Fang, Fiona Fang.

According to her introduction, the ball embroidered by Ping Xiu is only embroidered with a pattern on the cloth.

In pile embroidery, the patterns on each piece of cloth are three-dimensional and lifelike, whether tactile or visual.

To do velvet embroidery, you need special tools and special knitting frames. First, the thread is woven into ribbon with six corner pieces of the weaving frame, then the ribbon is woven into a solid pattern, and then the woven ribbon is embroidered on the hydrangea, so that the velvet embroidery will have a relief effect.

Teacher Huang said that the skill of heap embroidery was once lost, but later she insisted on it again and again and finally passed it on.

In fact, in our country, many non-cultural heritages are facing various problems. Young people envy the outside world, while old people's learning ability declines.

After seeing this pile of embroidery, I can realize that good things should be inherited. I hope to see this pile of embroidery in a few decades.

Today is National Day. I wish you all a good time.
