Tale of Genji is a novel by Japanese woman writer Murasaki shikibu. Author's specific information: Murasaki shikibu (about 978-10/6) is a Japanese female writer in heian period, whose real name is Fujiwara, and she was born in a middle-class aristocratic family. 1998, she married Xiao Xuan in Fujiwara and gave birth to a daughter the following year. Fujiwara Xiao Xuan died in 100 1, and she lived a widow's life. 1006 entered the emperor's harem and served as the female official of the emperor's middle palace (that is, the queen) until the emperor died in 10 1 1. During this period, he explained books such as Records of Japan and Collection of Bai Changqing to Zhong Gong. This period of harem life has a decisive influence on her creation. There are three works of Murasaki's Annals, namely, Murasaki's Annals, the Diary of the Ministry and the Tale of Genji. The collection of Murasaki's annals is a collection of 128 songs. Diary of the Purple Department describes the grand occasion before and after the birth of the second and third emperors from July 1008 to June 10, including a detailed description of the life in the harem and Ming Rui's observation of the characters' personalities and psychological activities. The novel Tale of Genji is her main creative achievement. The writing time of this novel is generally considered to be ready before she entered the palace. The first cycle to the forty-first cycle is the first half, and the forty-second cycle to the fifty-fourth cycle is the second half. The first half focuses on Genji, writing the love story between Genji and a series of women. The second half focuses on Xun Jun, writing the love story between Xun Jun and a series of women. The Tale of Genji reflects all aspects of the life of the aristocratic class in heian period. The story involves three generations, which lasted more than 70 years and more than 400 people appeared. There are about 30 main characters in the book, including Genji, Quidditch, Barnacle, Empty Cicada, Ximei, Sharla Cheung, Picking Flowers, Lengquan, Xunjun, Wuer, Yincui gorge and Cedar.
