Bishan District, alias Green Island New District, is the jurisdiction of Chongqing, located in the west of Chongqing. As of March 2, 2022, Bishan District has jurisdiction over 6 streets and 9 towns, with an area of 9 14.55 square kilometers. It was awarded the title of "advanced county (city) in national scientific and technological progress".
Bishan County was established in the second year of Tang Zhide (AD 757). According to the Records of Yuanhe County in the Tang Dynasty (AD 806), "Bishan County is steep in the northwest and slightly flat in the southeast. Therefore, it was named Chongbi Mountain. In the second year of Germany (AD 757), it was named after the mountain. "
In the 11th year of Tang Dali (776), Yongchuan County was located in the southwest of Bishan County. At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Bishan County suffered from repeated military disasters. In the twenty-second year of Yuan Dynasty (1285), Bishan was merged into Baxian because of its "vast territory and sparse population". In the 19th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (1483), Bishan County was restored, belonging to Chongqing government. In the first year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662), it was clearly stipulated that "there are still a few registered permanent residence, so Bishan County should be stopped as a civil servant and be ruled forever" (that is, Yongchuan County was in charge).
In the seventh year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1729), Bishan County was re-established and renamed Bishan, which belonged to Chongqing Prefecture in eastern Sichuan. In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), Bishan County belonged to Dongchuan Road, Sichuan Province. /kloc-Sichuan province was directly under the central government in 0/7 years. 198 1 year, Jiangjin area was renamed Yongchuan area, and Bishan county was subordinate to Yongchuan area. In April 1983, 1, Yongchuan area was merged into Chongqing, and Bishan county was under the jurisdiction of Chongqing. From 65438 to 0997, Chongqing municipality was established, and Bishan County was subordinate to Chongqing.
On May 2, 20 14, Bishan County was revoked and Bishan District was established with the approval of the State Council.
