Duodao District was named after Guan Yu, a famous soldier of the Three Kingdoms, who put his knife on a boulder when stationing troops here. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chu culture and Three Kingdoms culture. 1992, "Jingmen Duodao Economic and Technological Development Zone" was established; In June 2000, Jingmen High-tech Industrial Development Zone was established.
