Take a book to Paris.
Linda is a pseudonym shared by a pair of Chinese American writers. Her husband is Ding Hongfu and her wife is Li Xiaolin.
This book is published by People's Literature Publishing House 1978, and the price is RMB 1. 15. 1 May, 957, Beijing 1 Edition,1April, 978, Jilin1Printing, with a full interval of 2 1 year from typesetting to printing.
1978 students have been hungry because of the book shortage 10 years. I heard that there were a number of translations of world famous works to be published, so I went to the bookstore early to inquire and befriend the staff. These masterpieces were soon divided up by everyone after they were published, and none was left. That's how Linda's books were snapped up.
This book was printed on 1982, but the format was a little large, and the price rose to 1.60 yuan. Linda bought it without hesitation, and didn't realize that she didn't need a second identical book until she got home.
This is not over. After buying home, Linda carefully put the book on the shelf and didn't read it for another 22 years. The people who snapped up with Linda at that time must have been "robbed" and left on the shelf after returning home.
Take a book to Paris.
This book is victor hugo's Jiu San. Compared with Les Miserables and Notre Dame, 93 is not so famous, but it is the last important work published by Hugo in his later years, which can be called "masterpiece".
A book is not published until 2 1 year after typesetting. Linda bought it twice and kept it for 22 years. It was not until she traveled to Paris that she took it and read it. There should be many unknown stories in it.
The serious lack of necessities will cause mental harm to people, and the consequence is mild mental abnormality. For example, the elderly in many families have a quirk of collecting garbage or even picking up garbage to go home. This is a legacy of the era of serious shortage of materials. And in our generation, some people have the habit of buying books almost crazily.
Linda
Speaking of shame, Xiao Tu has an almost crazy habit of buying books. My own book "93", published in May 1999, purchased in June 2020, priced in 22 yuan, purchased in 0.4 yuan165438; I bought it and put it back for nearly 2 years, and I didn't finish reading it until March 2022.
The story begins with a small incision. In a forest, a group of red hat troops surrounded a mother who was nursing three children, and her husband had just died.
"Who killed him?"
I don't know.
"Why don't you know who killed your husband?"
"I just don't know."
"Is it the blue army or the white army?"
"It's a bullet."
The Red Hat Army decided to take in the mother and three children, the oldest of whom was only 4 years old and the youngest was just over 1 year old.
It's probably around May 1793. Bread, coal, soap and meat are in short supply. Everyone has a kilo of meat ration every 10 day, and people often queue up to buy bread, which is an all-night queue. Prices are soaring and firewood is so expensive that some poor people have to chop the bed to get firewood.
At the beginning of this year, Louis XVI was executed by the National Association for treason and sent to the guillotine.
When Louis XVI was sentenced to death, robespierre's life was only one and a half years, Dandong was only one year and three months, vergne was only nine months, Mara was only five months and three weeks, and Le Perutiet Saint-Falcho was only one day.
In this book, the history of the French Revolution, which I memorized in high school, has become a vivid figure.
The mother and three children who were taken in by the Red Hat Army became the key figures in the book, and also shone with the humanitarian brilliance of people in the war years.
An old man who is a prince landed in France under the escort of a ship. When the cannon on the ship lost control, the old man saved the gunner's life. First he was rewarded, and then he was ordered to be executed.
After the same old man landed, there were notices everywhere saying that his opponent offered a reward for his arrest. The old man was saved by a beggar, but after finding his own man, he ordered the beggar's village to be set on fire, shot the Red Hat Army there, even spared the women, including the mother, who were embedded in the army, and stole three children.
"The poor want to be rich, and the rich don't want to be poor." 1793 In June, jacobins overthrew gironde's rule and adopted dictatorship through the National Salvation Council.
Lantenac, an old man, is a prince. The sign ordering his arrest bears the signature of his nephew and heir Guo Wen. The person sent by the National Salvation Council to supervise Guo Wen is called Siml Deng, who was a tutor and a priest when Guo Wen was a child. These two men are like father and son.
The old man pursued "unforgivability", rallied six or seven thousand peasant troops and rebelled in Wang Dai. Simon Malden, a former priest, is just as cruel and terrible. Guo Wen, who has only a thousand regular troops, has a kind heart.
Freedom, equality and fraternity are the tenets of peace and harmony. Why give these creeds a scary look? What is our purpose? Is to strive for all ethnic groups to form a world-class Republic. Then, we shouldn't make them feel scared. What's the use of intimidation? Intimidation can't attract all ethnic groups any more than a scarecrow can lure birds. You shouldn't do evil for the sake of doing good. Overthrowing the throne is not erecting the guillotine. Kill the king and let the country live. Knock off the crown and let go of your head. Revolution is harmony, not terror. Gentle thoughts are not well carried out by cruel and heartless people. I think forgiveness is the most beautiful word in human language. When I am in danger of bleeding, I just want to bleed. However, I can only fight, just a soldier. However, if people can't forgive, it is not worth fighting for. Let's be enemies of the enemy in battle and become their brothers after victory.
—— Guo Wen
Guo Wen has never shot a prisoner. He will forgive him for shooting him and almost killing his enemy. After defeating the old man with fewer wins, Guo Wen drove the old man and his remaining dozen people back to their castle-La Duge Guo Wen Castle.
The three children became bargaining chips between them. The old man locked three children in the library of the castle and threatened Guo Wen to set fire to the three children and destroy the castle if they were not spared. Guo Wen wanted to save three children, but he didn't want to compromise and let the old man go.
The mothers of the three children who were shot by the old man with the red hat army did not die, but were rescued by beggars who saved the old man. In order to find three children, the surviving mother is also on her way to Laduge Castle. The final tug-of-war was held in the castle.
93 was a year of war. Europe is against France and France is against Paris. What is a revolution? This is France's victory over Europe and Paris's victory over France. Therefore, the terrible moment of 1993 is of great significance, greater than at any time in this century. What could be more tragic than Europe attacking France and France attacking Paris? This is an epic tragedy.
People are not born to wear chains, but to spread their wings and fly ... people are destroying, destroying, strangling and killing, but summer is still summer, lilies are still lilies, and stars are still stars.
What is the meaning of war? What is the fate of the three children? Can I be reunited with my mother? Guo Wen, who wanted to save three children, ordered someone to find a three-story staircase, but he was transferred to a guillotine. What kind of stories will happen between grandparents and grandchildren who love each other, between mentors and apprentices?
The answer is 93. This book has three parts: at sea, in Paris and in Wangdai, each with its own wonderful features.
Now we don't have to suffer from war. We don't have to worry so much about buying a book. If you want to read a book, you don't have to wait that long.

Zheng Yonghui's translation of 93 is not bad. Zheng Yonghui is a famous French translator in China. He translated more than 40 works by famous French writers such as Hugo, Balzac, Dumas, Merimee, Flaubert and Mo Bosang, and won the Lu Xun Literature Award. He is a leading figure in French translation.
In 1993,
The novel reflects the magnificent historical picture of the French bourgeois revolution in 1793 and profoundly describes the desperate struggle between the bourgeoisie and the feudal class. In a sense, "93" is a summary and generalization of Hugo's life thoughts, and it is also a perfect work of Hugo's art.

Linda went to Paris with a literary masterpiece (93) describing the "revolution". In castles, squares, palaces, churches and museums in France, we chew the fruits of culture, taste the feast of art, listen to the echo of history and feel the thoughts and wisdom of our predecessors condensed in blood and fire. In the strong French historical and cultural atmosphere, the author enriched his understanding of art, culture, history, society and "revolution" with a lot of historical details and scenes.

Notre Dame Cathedral
In Hugo's works, Notre Dame de Paris is by no means a complete, rigid and classifiable building: it is no longer a Romanesque building, but it is not a Gothic church, so it has become a magical body with various shapes and an admirable monument to science and art. 183 1 year, Notre Dame de Paris became a literary monument once it was published. As a result, the cathedral and the novel are connected together, and the two monuments stand side by side and can no longer be separated.
