Qiao Family Courtyard 1
Qiao Family Courtyard: national key cultural relics protection unit, national second-class museum, national advanced cultural relics unit, national youth civilization, and patriotic education base in Shanxi Province.
The Qiao Family Courtyard, also known as nave, was built in 1756. The hospital is double-shaped, divided into 6 courtyards, 20 small courtyards, 3 13 rooms, with a building area of 4 175 square meters, facing the street on three sides, surrounded by closed blue brick walls, with a height of 10 meters, and the gate is a gatehouse.
2. Qujia Courtyard
The existing main body of Qujia Courtyard is the building during Guangxu reign of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty. There are 8 courtyards in the hospital, 19 courtyards and 240 houses. The courtyard is a castle-like building. The courtyard composition of the Qujia Courtyard is rich, and the railing courtyard, the Ming building courtyard, the joint building courtyard and the stage courtyard are skillfully combined. Roofs have different shapes, such as resting peaks, hanging peaks, rolling roofs and hard peaks.
A tall arch with a delicate pavilion on it. The courtyard is separated by archways and halls, and the open buildings and unified buildings form a rich transitional space form. Qujia Courtyard is the epitome of the whole Shanxi merchant culture, which preserves a large amount of folk custom, history and artistic information, embodies profound cultural characteristics and contains profound and complex cultural accumulation. It has certain historical value, cultural value and artistic value.
3. Hejia Courtyard
Dai Zeng, a famous historical figure in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, built a pavilion in the courtyard, which not only collected books, printed engravings, calligraphy and painting, but also was a gathering place for anti-Qing intellectuals and scholars such as Fu Shan, Yan Ruoqu, Gu and Yan. Hejia Courtyard, the gate is brick-wood structure and turret, with Shi Zhuan, Eight Immortals and wood carving hanging flower doors.
The entrance to the courtyard is a 100-meter-long bluestone tunnel from west to east, with chariots and horses in the south and two buildings in the north. The Ming Lou Yuan in the east is a compound courtyard with ten inside and three outside, with a hall in the middle. There is a flower fence in the courtyard, which is divided into two courtyards, about 6 meters long from east to west, and the ground is paved with square bricks.
4. Jinshang Old Street
There are hundreds of commercial shops in Ming and Qing dynasties, such as tea houses, cigarette shops, banks, money houses, barrel shops and pawn shops, as well as thousands of wealthy businessmen and luxury houses. They are well preserved, simple, magnificent and criss-crossed. Architectural experts call it "the epitome of the north and south of the Yangtze River, the French style of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties", which is a rare material to study the county setting, street planning, residential buildings and commercial layout in ancient China, and also a historical witness to reflect the glory of Shanxi merchants in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Qixian county has made use of the former sites of shops and houses in this street to open the Shanxi Merchants Culture Museum in Qujia Courtyard, the Shanxi Merchants Teahouse Museum in Changyuchuan, the largest abacus museum in China, the Ming and Qing Furniture Museum, the Shanxi Merchants Escort Agency, the Metrology Museum and other tourist attractions.
