This summer vacation, my mother and I came to a magical place called "ghost town" in Dunhuang. Why is it called "ghost town"? Let me tell you something.
Ya Dan landform is a typical wind erosion landform. "Ya Dan" means "a mountain with steep walls" in Uighur. Due to the abrasion of wind, the lower part of the hill often suffers from strong erosion and gradually forms a concave shape. If the upper part of the mountain is loose, it is easy to collapse under the action of gravity to form a steep wall, forming Ya Dan landform. Some landforms look like ancient castles, commonly known as ghost towns.
The landform here is extremely strange. At first, I saw a huge turtle. The tortoise greedily opened its mouth and closed its hands and feet. We continued to sit in the car. A little sphinx suddenly jumped into my eyes. He stared at me with both hands, like a tiger in front of the bank. After a while, a huge landscape lizard appeared. This lizard is lifelike, with a long tail and sharp fangs on its oval head.
The magical nature brings us countless magnificence.
Student Exercise 2: Huangshan Black Tiger Pine
The following summer vacation, I went to Huangshan. Here, I witnessed the strange pine and the black tiger pine, one of the four wonders of Huangshan Mountain.
The black tiger pine was born at an altitude of1.650m, downhill from Baieling cableway station to Shi Xinfeng fork. According to legend, a monk went to the Lion Forest earlier, passing by, and suddenly saw a Hei Hu lying on the top of a pine tree. In a flash, Hei Hu disappeared and saw a tall Gu Song. This pine tree has thick stems, green needles, majestic cadre schools, and a thick green crown close to black, resembling a Hei Hu lying under a slope, so it is called "Black Tiger Pine". There is a poem that says, "When Gu Song saw all this, he was very surprised. His paws danced and his eyes and nose opened. Hei Hu used to sleep on it, and the needle must be armored. " After listening to this poem, I immediately clamored for my mother to take me to Huangshan. My mother couldn't help pestering me and finally agreed. We came to Baieling Mountain, where it was raining heavily and the rainstorm was like a bomb. Despite all the difficulties, we arrived at the black tiger pine. I stood beside my dream tree and saw a big tree rising from a crack in the rock, with a crown like a Hei Hu lying on it. I saw a round eye staring at me obliquely. I got a fright and ran away. That's great! When I looked at it, I saw a dense pine tree standing in front of me. I'm crazy enough to climb up. If my mother hadn't reminded me, I almost fell off the cliff. This terrible strange pine tree!
During this trip to Huangshan, I saw other magical sights, but I can't introduce them to you. I will definitely come again when I have the chance!
Student Exercise 3: Strange Stone
This summer vacation, I returned to my hometown: Qingdao, a coastal city in Qingdao. Qingdao's most famous Haina is the old-age bathing beach!
Qingdao Shilaoren Beach is located by Huiquan Bay. It has a beach 580 meters long and 40 meters wide. This used to be the largest bathing beach in Asia. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the trees are shaded. Modern high-rise buildings and traditional villa buildings are ingeniously combined, and the scenery is very beautiful. The poor old man called by the sea day and night, eager to see, regardless of the sea, his temples were all white, his back hunched, and he was still waiting for you by the sea. Later, when the old man sat in the water and leaned against his chin, the Dragon King used magic to turn the old man's body into a stone. When the girl learned the news of her father, she was in great pain. She rushed out of the Dragon Palace and ran to her father who had turned to stone. The flowers she planted on her head were blown to the island by the sea breeze to take root and sprout, so that Nagato Rock and Daguan Island were full of wild winter-resistant flowers. When the girl approached Laoshan Mountain, the Dragon King used magic to turn the girl into a huge reef and put it on the sea alone. Since then, father and daughter can only face each other across the sea, and they can never be together. Later, people called this huge reef "Daughter Island".

Student Exercise 4: arches national park, USA.
During the summer vacation, I traveled to the western United States. Apart from the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park, what impressed me most was arches national park.
Arches national park is very big, and there are many strange and exquisite natural arches in the park. Take a walk every time you see the arch.
We saw many arches, among which I like the exquisite arches and window arches best.
The first memorial archway we went to was the Exquisite Memorial Archway. We walked for more than an hour and finally got there at sunset. I was deeply shocked by the scenery in front of me! The red "exquisite arch" is like a pair of giant's legs. The giant's upper body seems to be broken, leaving only his legs in jeans and standing firmly on the edge of the cliff. The terrain here is strange, like a huge whirlpool, which was formed after thousands, tens of thousands and hundreds of millions of years of weathering. The arch stands tall, the setting sun shines on it, and it looks resplendent against the blue sky. Why is there a huge arch here? ! It turns out that these arches are all complete stones from a long time ago. After many, many years of weathering, the stone in the middle slowly fell down, forming such a strange arch. We walked under the arch, the wind was very strong, and mother was afraid of being blown away! In the photo, we look as small as ants.
"Window arch" is also very strange. It is like a pair of huge eyes with a prominent nose in the middle. I seem to see eyes. I also made a "small arch" there-bending down. Dad also told me that in the dead of night, you can still hear rumbling sounds, which are the sounds of some arches being formed. Of course, I also saw some arches that were taking shape, some were like mouths, and some were too small to even stand up.
I am very reluctant to leave at once. In arches national park, I realized the smallness of human beings. Arches national park is really an amazing masterpiece given to us by nature!
Student Exercise 5: Shanshi Huang.
During the summer vacation, I went to Anhui. When I came here, my first thought was to see the world-famous Huangshan Mountain. My father met my requirements and took me to Huangshan.
When I arrived at Huangshan Mountain, three words popped up in my heart: beauty! According to my father, Huangshan is located in Huangshan City in the south of Anhui Province. It is one of the three mountains and five mountains. It has the reputation of "the first wonder mountain in the world". Li Bai and other famous great poets left magnificent poems in Huangshan Mountain. As soon as I heard it, Huangshan is so famous! I didn't know that before!
"Since Huangshan itself is beautiful, Shanshi Huang must be more beautiful!" That's what I thought when I went up the mountain. Finally, we arrived at the location of a strange stone. The name of this stone is "Old Monk Collecting Medicine". This stone looks like an old man in shape. There is a pine tree in front of the old man, which looks like an herb. It feels like an old man picking herbs, so he is called "the old monk picking herbs".
We arrived at another strange stone field. This strange stone is called "Fairy Guide". This stone is very much like an old man, leaning on a crutch in one hand and pointing to the distance in the other, as if an old man were guiding passers-by!
We also saw many strange stones, such as dragons and dogs looking at the moon, fairies playing the piano, lions rolling balls, elephant nose stones and so on. I'm really glad you came to Huangshan this time!
