The former site of Qingdao Jiaoaode Governor's Office is located atNo. Yishui Road 1 1 on the southern slope of Guan Hai Mountain in the middle of Shinan District of Qingdao, facing Little Qingdao and Qingdao Bay, in the center of Qingdao at that time. It was the governor's office of Gio, Germany at that time, also known as the "governor's office".
This granite "Governor's Mansion" was built in 1903 and completed in 1906. It is a building with a mixed structure of masonry, steel and wood, with a building area of 7,500 square meters and a cost of 850,000 German marks.
The building adopts the symmetrical plane of European public buildings in the19th century, and the main facade is symmetrical with three vertical and five horizontal. The central axis is very prominent and the building plane is concave. It is equipped with a broken-line roof, covered with cylindrical red tiles, with curved roof windows and iron railings installed on the top side, which is both decorative and lightning rod, which is very exquisite. The Governor's Mansion is a five-story building with a main height of 20 meters. 1, 4 and 5 floors are auxiliary rooms with small windows. The main office is on the sunny side of the second and third floors, and the corridor is on the shady side. The office is spacious and bright, with big doors and windows, and there is a corridor balcony outside the office. There is no other decoration in the room except teak partition and floor, which makes people feel solemn and simple. The appearance of the whole building is very solemn and the handling is rigorous. Outside the building is an arched gate with two floors of entrance. The lobby on the second floor and the conference hall and main hall on the third floor are very high. Because the back of the mountain faces the sea, the square in front of the building is spacious and more spectacular. In the urban area of Qingdao, where the building orientation is irregular, it is a rare building that is approximately due south and north. 19 14 When World War I broke out, Japan occupied Qingdao instead of Germany, and the Governor's Office became Japan's garrison headquarters in Qingdao. 1922, China government recovered Qingdao from the Japanese, and this building became Jiaoao Commercial Port Supervision Office. 1929 In April, the Governor's Office became the Qingdao Reception Commissioner's Office, and in July of the same year, it became the seat of the Qingdao Special Municipal Government.
1938, Japan invaded Qingdao for the second time, and the Governor's Office became the seat of the highest ruling organ of the Japanese puppet government, which was successively called "Qingdao Special Municipal Office" and "Qingdao Special Municipal Government". 1945 After Japan surrendered, the Kuomintang government took over Qingdao, and the Governor's Office once again served as the seat of the Qingdao Municipal Government.
1June 2, 949, Qingdao was liberated. This office building used to be the seat of Qingdao Municipal People's Government and Qingdao Municipal People's Committee. Now it is the office of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and CPPCC. 1996, announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
