Su Baozhen is from Suqian, Jiangsu. 1944 graduated from the Art Department of Central University. As a student, he began to create and hold personal exhibitions. His works were selected in 194 1 National Art Exhibition and won the Young Writer Award. 1944 Lecturer, Zheng Zheng Art Institute, Jiangsu Province, 1946 Art teacher and academic director of Jiangjinyao Amateur School, Sichuan Province. After 1949, he served as the president of Beibei Xinhua Art College, the art teacher of the middle school affiliated to Chongqing Women's Normal University, the professor of Southwest Normal University and the vice president of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Painting Institute.

Member of China Artists Association, former director of Sichuan Branch of Artists Association, vice chairman of Provincial Arts and Crafts Society and member of Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Good at Chinese painting, especially grapes. His works include March in West Sichuan, Fruitful Fruits, Cherry Peacock and so on.
