Gushi in Qing Dynasty was mainly subordinate to Gwangju Zhili Prefecture, Ruguang South Road, Henan Province.
During the Republic of China, it was mainly under the ninth administrative supervision area of Henan Province (the inspector was stationed in Huangchuan County).
