Next, let's take a look at the trick and teach you five steps to distinguish the real silk quilt:
Step 1: Look at the price. The price of ordinary mulberry silk quilt core (excluding inner sleeve) is about 1.25 yuan/kg, and that of Hangzhou, Shanghai and other big cities is about 260 yuan/kg. The price of northern mulberry silk quilt is relatively high, generally 300~400 yuan/kg. Therefore, the real mulberry silk quilt is more expensive. If the price is surprisingly low, it is not inferior silk or mixed with chemical fiber silk.
Step 2: Look at the label.
The logo of the quilt should be described in detail. The real mulberry silk quilt will be clearly marked with the words "100% mulberry silk", while the general tussah silk or short fiber silk quilt will only be marked with the words "100% silk" or "pure natural silk". Therefore, customers had better choose a quilt clearly marked with "100% mulberry silk", otherwise it is easy to buy genuine mulberry silk quilts.
Step 3: Watch sewing. Silk is usually wrapped in an inner quilt cover and then fixed by hand positioning and sewing. In this way, customers can check the silk usage of the whole silk quilt through the opening of the inner quilt cover, and the silk quilt sewn by this method is generally not easy to be adulterated. If a part of the quilt is sewn by sewing or other methods, it may be adulterated.
Step 4: Look at the zipper.
The inner quilt cover of silk quilt generally has an opening (inspection opening) larger than 60CM, which is convenient and willing to accept customers to go deep into the silk embryo to inspect silk. If the whole quilt is sewn tightly, or the detection opening is less than 60CM, it is best not to buy this kind of quilt. Try to enlarge the opening, so that you can observe a large area of the quilt and avoid the situation that the four corners are silk and the middle is adulterated.
Step 5: Look at the corners.
After the silk inner tube is pulled, the manufacturer will fix the four sides of the inner tube together by continuous sewing to prevent displacement. After fixing, if the four corners and sides of the quilt are full, but the silk in the middle is too thin (not full enough) to support the whole quilt, the silk of this quilt is easy to shift and deform. Not a good silk quilt. A good silk quilt is that the middle of the quilt is slightly thicker than the four sides, giving silk ample room for expansion.
