During the reign of Qianlong and Guangxu, the Northern King belonged to Shangqinli in Quwo County; In the seventeenth year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Quwo District 1. There were 28 households in the Northern Dynasties, including 77 males and 44 females. From 1986, Wangbei Village gradually moved to the present village site. In the village, the earliest are Yao and Shi. Now there are no Yao family members in the village, but most of them are people. Retired at home now.

Wangbei Village is one of the famous advanced cotton management villages in houma city in 1970s. At present, under the guidance of the Party's policy of enriching the people, Party branches and village committees are actively improving agricultural production conditions, adjusting industrial structure, and guiding villagers to develop the tertiary industry. There are now more than 40 individual merchants.
