Dafeng Street is located in the north of Chengdu and the southwest of Xindu District, just north of Chengdu North Station, between the Ring Expressway and the Third Ring Road, and is known as the "North Gate Gateway" of Chengdu. It is adjacent to Tianhui Town and Fenghuangshan Street in jinniu district in the east, Shaheyuan Street in jinniu district in the south, Anjing and Tuanjie Town in Pidu District in the west, Longqiao Town, Banzhuyuan Town and Tianhui Town in jinniu district in the north.

Division evolution of Xindu District
1985, Xindu County governs 3 towns and 22 townships.
1988, Xindu Town merged with Gui Hu Township and was renamed Gui Hu Town.
1990, Gui Hu Town was renamed Xindu Town, which is still the seat of the county people's government.
1992, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Tianyuan Township and Guilin Township were abolished and merged into Xindu Town. Xindu county governs 12 town and 5 townships.
In 2003, Xindu Town, Xinfan Town, Dafeng Town and sanhe town respectively set up sub-district offices to work together with the town government, and implemented the management mode of "two brands and one set of personnel", with the same jurisdiction as the town.
