Leaving these eight meaningful stone lions, we walked into the courtyard of Liu Mansion, which was full of books and served as officials for generations. Liu Yuchun, the sixth generation of Liu, built 13 courtyards, but most of them were destroyed by the war in the late Ming Dynasty. There are six complete courtyards, namely Zhongxiandi, Sima Di, Hedong Shize, Aerospace Chong, Pan Xiang Liuxia and Panshi Chang 'an.
If the village is compared to a beautiful woman, then the building is her appearance and figure, and the rich content hidden in the building is the soul of this beautiful woman. Strolling through the Liu's dwellings, the ancient wood carvings everywhere reflect the Liu's aesthetic taste and values. Every stone lion in front of the gate has a pair of ingot-shaped ears, which shows the wealth and arrogance of the Liu family. Every lintel, window lattice, beam and archway in the yard contains the extraordinary imagination of the Liu family. There are more than 40 kinds of windows in major courtyards alone, and there are more than 100 story boards and thousands of stone carvings, but none of them are the same. There are not many rules and restrictions on carving here, and there are no restrictions on grades here. Dragon and phoenix patterns can be seen everywhere.
What impressed me the most was the nine-story arch on the gate of Sima Di Courtyard, which is the tallest gatehouse in China. The wood carvings on the portico of Tian Chong courtyard have different shapes and colors, with 30 meanings. There is a built-in 12 door bolt at the gate of Heze Courtyard in Hedong. Even people in the courtyard can't open it. There is barbed wire over the yard, and there is an underground tunnel connecting various hospitals, which can be described as "Skynet Tunnel", showing the strong defense function of this yard.
Being in this exquisite art treasure house is like being in the heart of a beautiful woman with a unique mind. I have a spiritual dialogue with her from my own point of view and feelings. However, what my eyes touched was only a trace of her expression; What I have tried my best to understand is only the corner of her heart. It's hard to read her mind.
And in this "beauty", there are even more amazing rich treasures. The existing celebrity calligraphy and painting plaque in Liu's former residence is a must in China. Zhu in the Southern Song Dynasty, Wang Yangming in the Ming Dynasty, Wang Guoguang and Heping all left their own handwriting here. What is even more surprising is that there are several paintings by "painter" Wu Daozi and master of landscape painting Hao Jing, which are called "national treasures".
In two newly renovated rooms in a yard, we saw these precious historical sites. What we can't understand is that these precious stone tablets are all placed in the lower corner of the wall and piled up with stones and gravel. Not only is there no decoration, but there is not even a name and analysis that should be indicated. Looking at them, we are a little at a loss. Without guidance, it is impossible to know who wrote the inscription. Visitors who entered this room all sighed. How can such a precious "baby" receive such a cold reception?
