Description of new problems
1. Dictation of words and phrases
The original compound word dictation was changed to word phrase dictation, and the length and difficulty of the essay remained unchanged. On the basis of understanding the article, candidates are required to fill in the blanks or phrases with the original text they have heard, *** 10. Play this paragraph three times.
Jian Kun comments:
Judging from the sample papers, in the answer of 10, the phrase * * * accounts for 2~3. The difficulty of word spelling is still very vague. For example, you can get apportionable words in paragraph 4 and romantic words in paragraph 6. 1998 was tested in paragraph 4. Almost everyone thinks that canceling sentence dictation will make dictation less difficult. On the contrary, it will only increase the accidental scoring rate of candidates, and the long-term neglect of dictation and spelling by candidates will lead to an increase in the inevitable failure rate. Because in the past sentence dictation, the score of 2% in the whole sentence can at least ensure that candidates can write some simple words in the sentence and then score, but in the new test paper, the design that a word (or a phrase) accounts for 1% will make the score and loss appear in an instant.
You might as well do a test, first look at the following Chinese phrases and see how many you can write. Then look at the drop-down to see the answer.
Fragile; Smart; Abstract; Make things clear;
Answer:
Fragile intelligent abstract problem solving
Strategy: Please make sure that all the words and phrases corresponding to the original text (answer area) are spelled successfully after each listening question. Don't worry, later, about a month before the exam, Teacher Jian Kun's WeChat will start broadcasting daily dictation training.
2. Long reading
The original fast reading comprehension is adjusted to long reading comprehension, and the length and difficulty of the text remain unchanged. There are 10 sentences in this chapter, and each sentence has a question. The information contained in each sentence comes from a paragraph of the text, and candidates are required to find a paragraph that matches the information contained in each sentence. Some paragraphs may correspond to two questions, and some paragraphs may not correspond to any questions.
Jian Kun comments:
This setting is called "paragraph information matching question" in IELTS reading, and its classic feature lies in its strong confusion. Please pay attention to this sentence: some paragraphs may correspond to two questions, and some paragraphs may not correspond to any questions. According to the setting of sample volume:
There are 9 paragraphs in CET-4, corresponding to 10, which means there must be one paragraph corresponding to two questions.
The six-level question * * * statistics 15, corresponding to 10, that is to say, there must be five questions that are pure interference paragraphs.
The reading session is still very tense. Choose words+paragraphs+intensive reading for 40 minutes. Visual inspection of new topics can only be done for 10 minutes. With such a short time and a large number of questions (CET-6 10 minute reading 15 paragraph+judgment), the corresponding training and skills must be in place.
Strategy: Reading topic belongs to the combination of fast reading and information matching. With the basic guarantee of vocabulary, some related reading skills must also be mastered skillfully. For example, the correspondence between paragraphs and special signal words in topics, such as numbers, capitalization, special symbols, etc. The first sentence of a paragraph is regarded as key information; Pay special attention to paragraph cohesion sentences and so on. Of course, a lot of training is essential.
3. Translation
Chinese-English translation of the original single sentence is adjusted to Chinese-English translation of paragraphs. Translation involves the historical, cultural, economic and social development of China. The length of the fourth level is 140- 160 Chinese characters; The length of paragraph 6 is 180-200 Chinese characters.
Jian Kun comments:
This is the most difficult topic in this reform. What is certain is that if the grading standard is not lowered, this project will become a black hole for national candidates to lose points.
Let's look at the original excerpts from the sample papers:
Level 4: People often use paper-cutting to beautify their home environment. Especially during the Spring Festival and weddings, paper-cutting is used to decorate doors, windows and rooms to increase the festive atmosphere.
The customs and traditions of celebrating the Spring Festival vary greatly from place to place, but usually every family gets together for dinner on New Year's Eve. In order to drive away bad luck and welcome good luck, every household will carry out general cleaning.
Judging from the topic, the difficulty of translation is indeed different from that of postgraduate entrance examination translation and TEM-8 translation. However, for candidates who are basically unfamiliar with translation, vocabulary and phrases are actually only the first obstacle, such as "festive atmosphere" and "cleaning", and more obstacles are: choosing words and making sentences. Take "increasing the festive atmosphere" as an example. The basic reaction of candidates is to increase, and the standard answer is: to enhance the happy atmosphere.
Strategy:
We must consciously accumulate and recite some words related to festivals, historical events, economic and social development in China. You can pay attention to some English magazines and newspapers that mainly reflect China society, such as China Daily and its website. Most of the contents of this newspaper really exceed the strength of candidates, but some vocabulary related to daily social life can be learned by everyone. You can learn a lot of expressions by reading the headlines of websites every day and matching them with Chinese news background. I recommend a small column under the website of China Daily: Language Tips, which contains a large number of simple and practical bilingual articles. At the same time, candidates need to buy some translation books that are not difficult, and pay attention to some switching rules between Chinese and English.
Overall evaluation:
1, the overall difficulty increases, translation is the most difficult, followed by reading and listening;
2. The biggest challenge still comes from time control, especially the reading part;
3. On August 2 1 day, the results of Grade 4 and Grade 6 in June 13 were announced, and the unsuccessful candidates need to make greater efforts to prepare for the exam;
4, change is the norm, there is no need to blame others, have strength, naturally not afraid of any change;
5.6 13 12 candidates will have the opportunity to take the exam again in June 14, so please take a relaxed attitude towards the exam.
