Water drum, the name of Chinese medicine disease. Refers to excessive drinking, spleen and stomach disharmony, swelling caused by stagnant water. It's one of the bumps. Symptoms include prolonged edema, facial edema, swelling of hands and feet, dry mouth, watery fur, and depression like mud.
According to the clinical manifestations of this disease, it is similar to ascites due to cirrhosis referred to by western medicine, including ascites caused by viral hepatitis, schistosomiasis, bile and malnutrition.
The basic causes of "water drum";
From improper diet or overwork, spleen and kidney weakness, spleen deficiency leading to dereliction of duty, water and dampness stagnation, confined to the middle energizer; Kidney deficiency is not conducive to opening and closing, water can not be discharged, and water gathers into drums. Or work or swim in the water, feel water poison, internal injury to the liver and spleen, abnormal lifting, mixed with turbid gas, and gradually become a water drum. This syndrome may also be secondary to jaundice and abdominal mass.
Ultrasound can be used to detect ascites and understand the amount of ascites. The examination of peritoneal puncture fluid is helpful to distinguish leakage from exudation. Cytological examination, cell culture, inoculation of mycobacterium tuberculosis in guinea pigs and determination of enzymes and chemicals are all auxiliary diagnostic methods.
Swelling and edema:
Swelling is mainly due to liver, spleen and kidney damage, and qi, blood and water are hydrated in the abdomen, mainly abdominal distension, and swelling of limbs is not obvious. In the later stage, the prescription was accompanied by edema of limbs. Every time we met, there was blood on the face and neck, and the hypochondriac disease was hard and the veins stood out in the abdomen.
Edema is mainly due to the imbalance of lung, spleen and kidney function, and the skin is submerged by water. Its edema mostly starts from the eyelids, and then spreads to the head, face and limbs, or the lower limbs swell first and then spreads to the whole body. Every time I encounter it, my face will turn white, my waist will be sore and weak, and even edema may be accompanied by ascites.
Abdominal distension, belching or suffocating are all relaxation, and drumming is a "gas drum", which is mostly caused by liver depression and qi stagnation.
