The next morning, my father and I came to "Majiachi Community". Many volunteers are here, and there are several primary school students about my age! It seems that there are still many people who support environmental protection. There are trees in the community, flowers are in full bloom, and the air is filled with flowers. Grandparents are walking and children are playing. This is really a harmonious and beautiful community. However, what is incompatible with this scene is that cigarette cases, waste plastic bags, candy paper, beverage bottles and other wastes thrown on the ground can be seen everywhere in the community. We all take a plastic bag and pick up all the rubbish that people throw on the ground and put it in the plastic bag. We all encourage each other and compete with each other to see who picks up more ... after picking up for more than an hour, the activity is not over yet, and everyone's plastic bags are full of picked up garbage.
In this activity, we not only picked up garbage, but also spread the concept of "protecting the environment" to this community. Some grandparents praised us as good students to protect the environment when they saw us picking up garbage. Some children who are playing also help us pick up rubbish. There is also a little girl who, seeing our actions, no longer throws her milk box on the ground, but runs to the trash can and gently puts it in.
Through this activity, we will also raise our awareness of environmental protection and remind ourselves not to throw rubbish everywhere in the future, so as to make our home cleaner and our hearts more beautiful.
