Refers to the little girl who holds the wedding dress for the bride or throws petals in front of the bride and groom at the wedding. Usually four or five-year-old girls. In some places, it is emphasized to accompany mothers with five or six-year-old "boys", which probably means "having children early". In the United States, participants in the hippie movement also call themselves flower girl.
