During Zheng De's reign in Ming Dynasty, Qin Jin, a famous minister, changed the monastery of Huishan Temple into "Phoenix Valley Nest", which was the predecessor of Jichang Garden.
Qin Jin's Wuxi Qin family is a descendant of Qin Guan, a famous poet in the Northern Song Dynasty. It can be described as a noble family and a family of imperial examinations. For more than 100 years, this garden has been in the hands of talented Qin, so it is full of scholarly atmosphere.
During the Wanli period, Qin Gui, the governor of Hunan Province, took Wang Xizhi's poetic idea of "taking benevolence as pleasure and placing mountains and rivers in the shade" and renamed it "Jichang Garden".
Later, the times changed, the world was in chaos, and Jichang Garden was destroyed by several fires. Fortunately, Qin's descendants worked hard and repaired many times before they were able to retain their original appearance. After 1952, Qin dedicated this private garden to the country and officially opened it to the public after protective restoration.
Enjoy benevolence and wisdom, and make a good scene and a good shadow.
