According to Wang, cultural director of Dangshan County, in order to promote the art of suona and improve the performance level and the overall quality of artists, the county invites well-known domestic folk performance experts to teach in Dangshan every year, and often holds competitions, so that suona artists in the county can also communicate with each other and learn from each other. Zhang Tuanjie, Dan, Zhu Haikuan and many other new suona talents stand out, winning more than 30 awards in various national, provincial and municipal cultural performances and competitions, and sending a large number of suona artists to many art colleges and professional cultural performance groups across the country. By 2009, there were more than 200 suona groups in Dangshan County, with more than 2,000 professionals and tens of thousands of performers. Performances are divided into "stage performances", "no stage performances" and "stage performances". The repertoire mainly includes local operas, suona brand songs, folk ditties and instrumental music, as well as wedding-oriented song ensembles.
