The Nineteen Peaks Scenic Area is located 22km southwest of Xinchang County, with a total area of 30.65km2. It consists of four scenic spots, namely the Nineteen Peaks with Rock Infiltration, the loong Valley (a thousand-foot-deep valley), the Chongyang Palace and the geological relics of silicified wood. More than 65,438 scenic spots are characterized by elegance, seclusion, strangeness and danger, with peaks, valleys, caves, streams and waterfalls as the main bodies, which are typical "Danxia landforms". In the scenic area, the mountains are continuous, the terraces are rotating, and the rivers are winding, which complement the natural landscapes such as Qifeng grotesque rocks, waterfalls and flowing springs, streams and ponds, and valleys and caves, showing the unique natural scenery and landscape charm of eastern Zhejiang. The scenic spot combines the beauty of Lijiang River, the beauty of Guilin and the wonder of wild geese, and is known as "Small Guilin in the south of the Yangtze River" and "Zhangjiajie in the east of Zhejiang". It is a patriotic education base integrating nature and humanity.
The 19th Peak Scenic Area has a typical subtropical mountain climate and a typical "Danxia landform". Except for national holidays, it is open to Shaoxing citizens free of charge all year round, with rich natural scenery, convenient transportation network, convenient water, electricity and communication, flat floodplain and complete service facilities for tourist attractions, which can fully meet the requirements of building a patriotic education base.
