Qujing City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, located in the east of Yunnan Province, at the source of the Pearl River, at the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, and adjacent to Xingyi City of Guizhou Province in the east.
It covers an area of 28,900 square kilometers, accounting for 13.63% of the area of Yunnan Province. By 2022, Qujing City will have jurisdiction over 1 city, 3 districts and 5 counties, and the built-up area will be 103.5 square kilometers. Qujing City is located in Wumeng Mountain, the transition zone from the eastern Yunnan Plateau to the western Guizhou Plateau in the middle of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and the western part is inlaid with the lake basin of the central Yunnan Plateau.
