Located in the southwest of Bavaria, Germany, it is close to Hohenschwangau Castle (also known as Old Swan Castle), about 4 kilometers away from Fei Sen Town and not far from the German-Austrian border.
History and culture
Neuschwanstone Castle is a building in the late19th century, and it is one of the palaces of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. * * * There are 360 bedrooms, of which only 14 bedrooms were completed according to the design, and the other 346 bedrooms were not completed because the king died in 1886.
Because it is the prototype of Disney Castle, some people call it Snow White Castle. It's like a fairyland on earth, with ancient folklore about magic, kings and knights, endless virgin forests, tender slopes, endless herds of cattle and sheep walking in the green fields, snow-covered Alps and endless wide lakes.
The Germans turned Ludwig II's dream into reality. The new Swan Castle, which was built at a huge cost, has become a cash cow for German tourism. Millions of tourists come here to enjoy this fairy tale castle and become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Germany.
storyline
Behind this beauty and romance lies the tragedy of a young king. His master is King Ludwig II of Bavaria. He likes all kinds of operas and stage plays since he was a child. However, the king's love life is full of tragedies. His childhood was spent with his young cousin Princess Sisi. When he began to feel hazy about love, his cousin 15 married in Austria. Her beautiful image left a deep and indelible impression on the young prince.
Princess Cece once tried very hard to find a suitable girl for her cousin, so she betrothed her cousin Princess Sophie to him, but the marriage ended because Ludwig II broke up and he never got married. Since then, he has been immersed in the fantasy of stage play. Later, the king was deeply moved by Wagner's script and decided to build this white fairy tale castle to create a background for Wagner's stage play, where the touching stories of brave knights and beautiful princesses were staged.
The new Swan Castle is an unfinished dream for him. After his feelings for his cousin were shattered, his love life was blank, not understood by the world, and he was dissatisfied with reality. He devoted himself to creating his own fairy tale world. Unexpectedly, it was unanimously opposed by the whole country. On June 1886 and 12, he inspected the progress of the castle for the last time. On his way back to Munich, he disappeared into the night. The next morning, people found the bodies of the king and Dr. Gooden in the lake. Just five days ago, the Bavarian National Medical Committee just announced that he was mentally ill. He was only 4 1 year old.
For Ludwig II, the swan symbolizes purity, so the beautiful figure of the swan can be seen from murals, door handles and bathtubs. The only thing that is gratifying is that Ludwig II once lived in the castle for about 170 days, and the cause of Ludwig II's death is still a mystery. This castle is much more magnificent from a distance than from a close distance, perhaps just like two people who love each other and only love their dreams.
