I. Sensory evaluation
1, appearance: including the size and shape of the sample, the texture of the sample (soft or hard, rough or flat, shiny or dull) and the clarity (transparent, translucent, turbid and opaque).
2. Aroma: it is the nature of smelling volatile components through the nose. Good essence can help the product seduce people.
3. Color: It is a phenomenon containing physiological and psychological components, which is especially important in makeup.
4, skin feeling: that is, the feeling of the sample smeared on the skin, a good smearing feeling will make people remember deeply.
Second, the evaluation of physical and chemical indicators
1, pH value: The pH value of cosmetics can directly affect the pH value of skin surface, so it is very important to accurately determine the control range of cosmetic pH value. The pH value of human skin is generally 4.5~6.5, which is acidic, because there are skin and sweat on the skin surface, which contain acidic substances such as lactic acid, free amino acids, uric acid and fatty acids.
2. Viscosity: When a fluid flows under the action of external force, its intermolecular resistance is called viscosity (or viscosity). Viscosity is an important physical property of fluid, and it is also one of the important quality indexes of cream and emulsion cosmetics.
3. Centrifuge: Centrifuge test is a test to check the shelf life of emulsion cosmetics and a necessary test method to accelerate the separation test. For example, facial cleanser and moisturizing lotion should be centrifuge tested. Test method: put the sample in a centrifuge, test it for 30 minutes at the speed of 2000-4000 rpm, and observe the separation and stratification of the product.
