1, soil

Wisteria has wide adaptability and low requirements for soil, but loose, fertile and organic-rich soil is more suitable.

2. Lighting temperature

It likes a warm, sunny and well-drained environment. The optimum growth temperature is 15-25℃, when it is below 5℃, it begins to dormancy, and when it is above 33℃, the flower quality is poor. When the light is insufficient, the stems and vines become thinner, the flowers become smaller, the amount of flowers decreases and the color becomes lighter.

3. Water and fertilizer

Vines can't lose water all their lives, so we should pay attention to supplying enough water from germination to blooming. Especially in the flowering period, a lot of water is needed, so the soil should be kept moist frequently to ensure the flowers are full and bright. After entering the dormant period, the water demand is relatively reduced, and the water should be properly controlled.

Because vines bloom a lot and need a large amount of fertilizer, sufficient fertilizer should be applied during winter dormancy. Fertilization should be applied in time during the growing season, and topdressing should be applied after flowering in May to facilitate flowering in summer and autumn. Fertilization should be controlled at the end of autumn to prevent the autumn shoots from being too frosty. When the leaves begin to spread out in spring, due to the large growth of new roots, be careful not to use too thick fertilizer to avoid damaging new roots and affecting their growth.

4, the overall pruning

The vines of wisteria are very long, which makes it grow freely, not only shapeless, but also affects its growth and flowering, so it needs to be attached to a prefabricated support frame to grow. Therefore, one of the tasks of shaping and pruning is to make it grow well on the pre-arranged support frame according to the needs of garden landscaping, form a unique ornamental shape and achieve the ideal landscape effect.

Before transplanting, the old branches, weak branches, residual branches, pests and diseases should be thinned first, then the roots should be trimmed, the old roots and diseased roots should be cut off, and the cross section of the injured roots should be cut flat to facilitate healing. After the seedlings are planted, they usually need a strong pruning, which is often carried out at 10cm near the branches. The roots must be raised before the branches can be produced.

5, flowering control

Vine rose is suitable for planting in different areas of northern and southern China. Generally, North China begins to germinate in mid-March, spreads its leaves in late March and blooms in early May. Multi-flowered varieties can bloom repeatedly until the middle of 10, and gradually shed their leaves after frost. The multi-flowered variety bears fruit after the first flowering, and the fruit turns orange or red in June165438+1October.
