Raphael (1483- 1520) is an Italian painter and architect. Together with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, it is called "the three masters of the Renaissance".

Raphael's paintings are famous for their beauty, delicate characters and peaceful scenes. His temperament is calm and elegant, just like his paintings. Raphael died suddenly in Rome with a high fever on 1520 at the age of 37 and was buried in the Pantheon.

Raphael died at the age of 37, but because of his diligent creation, he left more than 300 precious works of art to the world. His works learn from others and form his own unique style. He is a representative figure of this technique, and also represents the most admired aesthetic taste at that time, and has become a model that later classicists can't reach. His representative works include the oil painting The Sistine Madonna and the mural The Academy of Athens.
