Is allogenic dermis human skin?
Allogeneic dermis is not human skin. Acellular allogenic dermis is a new biomaterial. Because normal cells are removed, it will not show immunogenicity after being implanted into human body, and generally will not produce immune rejection. It has good histocompatibility and can be applied to various operations that cause external genitalia, such as penis enlargement or local repair, similar to patch. Where there is something wrong, it needs to be repaired.

Interpretation of allogenic dermis

Acellular allogenic dermis can be used to repair human implanted burn wounds and hernias. Implantable acellular allogenic dermal materials can be used for the repair or reconstruction of human tissues, the reconstruction of urethral stricture in urology, the reconstruction of oral gums after breast cancer resection, and the repair of gynecological pelvic cavity. Acellular allogenic dermis has the ability of rapid tissue regeneration without immune rejection, and has good histocompatibility as a scaffold or template.

Acellular dermal matrix is a kind of dermal substitute obtained by special treatment of allogenic dermis to remove its cellular components. Several years ago, it was approved by FDA for clinical ADM biological patch, and it has been widely used and developed in clinic, especially in plastic surgery, which has largely replaced autologous dermal flap. It is widely used in China at present.
