Function of equalizer
Equalizer is an electronic device that can adjust the amplification of electrical signals of various frequency components respectively. By adjusting the electrical signals of different frequencies, we can compensate the defects of speakers and sound fields, and compensate and decorate various sound sources and other special functions. Generally, the equalizer on the mixer can only adjust the high frequency, intermediate frequency and low frequency electrical signals respectively.
Equalizers are used in the input channels and wiring devices of mixers, for example, in the output lines leading to speakers. Although the use of equalizer in microphone input channel reminds us of its method of shaping the sound of speakers or musical instruments, people often ignore that whether equalizer is needed may be a sign that other links are wrong.
Equalization is used to compensate the problems in audio links or speaker audio characteristics, microphone selection or studio acoustic influence, which will appear in a studio with perfect acoustic characteristics, the latest speakers and the best microphones.
