The winning bidders for the civil construction of sections LJ4 to LJ9 of the Nanchong to Chengdu Expressway Expansion Project are announced! This indicates that this project is about to enter the formal construction stage.

The entire Chengnan Expressway will be expanded by mainly widening the original road and partially building new double tracks. The expansion route starts from Nanchong Dongguan Interchange, passes through Hanjiawan, Gaoping, Jialing, Pengxi, Tangjia, Daying, Cangshan, Huaikou, Qingquan, and ends at Luoshiba Interchange of Chengdu Ring Expressway. The total expansion construction scale is 240 kilometers, of which 177 kilometers of the original road have been widened and reconstructed; the third section of the newly built double line is 63 kilometers, which are the Nanchong urban transit section, the Daying County transit section and the Chengdu city entry section.
