Planting method of Dendrobium nobile
1. Planting in spring and autumn
Dendrobium nobile is mainly planted in spring and autumn, usually in February-March or September-October every year, and its seedlings can be planted in the soil. At this time, the climatic conditions are suitable, which can improve the survival rate of suitable seedlings of Dendrobium nobile.
2. Suitable pot soil
To plant Dendrobium nobile, we should choose breathable pot soil, mainly orchid pots and earthen pots with good air permeability, and also choose loose soil mixed with pine bark, perlite and peat soil at a ratio of 2:2:1, so that Dendrobium nobile can take root better.
3, seedling treatment
In the planting method of Dendrobium nobile, it is necessary to select healthy seedlings without pests and diseases, then treat the branches and leaves on the seedlings, soak their roots in rooting water for about 5 minutes, and then put them in the shade for planting.
4. Planting seedlings
The best time to plant Dendrobium nobile is March and April in spring and August and September in autumn, especially in spring, with the best survival rate, yield and quality. There are two ways to plant Dendrobium nobile, namely, sticking stones and sticking trees.
The roots of Dendrobium nobile seedlings can be clung to the stone, and then covered with moss and cooked cow dung with sufficient nutrients, so that the roots can be fixed on the stone for growth, and then the Dendrobium nobile can be maintained to grow up after proper water and fertilizer management.
You can also choose to plant the seedlings of Dendrobium nobile directly on broad-leaved trees, cut a gap in the trunk, then put the root system of Dendrobium nobile on the gap, cover it with moss to fix it, and tie it with thread to prevent it from falling. After that, it will be maintained normally, and it will grow along the tree after it takes root.
5. Field management
After planting, we should keep a certain humidity, and at the same time, we should prevent too much water. Topdressing is usually carried out in the second year, and it can be done mainly by applying fertilizer with Trim. It can be done as special fertilizer for Dendrobium and nutrient solution for Dendrobium, and topdressing can be done twice a year. We should clear the weeds around the growth of Dendrobium in time. Weeding is usually done in rainy days, so as not to hurt the roots of Dendrobium.
When Dendrobium grows very vigorously, we should, uh, prune and reshape it properly to maintain reasonable permeability in the field. If it is a Dendrobium that has been growing for many years, it is necessary to cut off some old roots, which can promote the growth of new plants and improve the yield and quality of Dendrobium nobile.
