Because there is a water channel around the cylinder for cooling water to pass through, the casting requirements are very high. If the wall thickness between the cylinder and the water channel is appropriate, the cylinder can be directly used as the cylinder working room after honing. If there is leakage or Chacon in the cylinder wall, in order to reuse the cylinder block, drill the cylinder block and add a cylinder liner to restore its function. Considering the method of adding 100% cylinder liner in the design can greatly reduce the rejection rate of cylinder block after processing, and also facilitate the maintenance mode of replacing cylinder liner in the later stage. Because the outer wall of this cylinder liner is in contact with the cylinder block, it is called dry cylinder liner. If the waterway communicates with the cylinder in a large area during design, the cooling water and the cylinder working room are completely separated by the cylinder, and the outer wall of the cylinder is in contact with the cooling water, this cylinder is called a wet cylinder. Compared with the dry cylinder liner, this cylinder liner has a slightly larger wall thickness, but has a stronger heat dissipation capacity.

When installing the wet cylinder liner, thoroughly clean the cylinder liner and cylinder bore in advance, and carefully clean the upper and lower support rings of the cylinder liner. If burrs, sharp corners and scratches are found, file them off with a file and then smooth them with emery cloth. Before installing the water stop ring, the cylinder liner should be put into the seat hole of the machine body for trial installation, so that the cylinder liner can rotate gently in the corresponding hole of the machine body without obvious shaking. Its shoulder should protrude 0.06 ~ 0.15mm from the plane of the machine body. If it is not enough, it is necessary to pad a copper pad, first on the cylinder liner, and then install a water stop ring to pad it on the seat hole of the body. When the protrusion is too large, the upper end face of the cylinder liner should be repaired (the upper end face of the engine block seat hole is not clean, which may easily lead to excessive protrusion). The height difference between adjacent cylinders of multi-cylinder machine shall not exceed 0.05 mm at most. Before installing the drain, carefully check the quality of the drain and smooth the burr. Water-stop rings with aging defects such as cracks, small elasticity and uneven thickness should be eliminated and cannot be installed and used. The water stop ring is installed on the cylinder liner and should not be deformed. Insert the round rod of the screwdriver, straighten the shiny surface of the outer ring along a circle and coat it with a layer of lubricating oil or soapy water. When installing the cylinder liner into the seat hole of the engine block, press it evenly twice with both hands. If you press in with the cylinder head, pay attention to evenly and symmetrically press in the nuts, and don't smash the gasket on the cylinder liner. If the fit is loose, it should be removed to find out the reason and then installed. After the gas cylinder is installed, water must be added for pressure test, and the running-in test should be carried out when conditions permit. As long as the cylinder liner leaks a little, it must be reworked. After rework, refuel when there is no problem, and then carry out trial operation.
