Wogan's spring buds need to be pruned manually and can't fall off by themselves. Pruning is generally carried out when the temperature rises in spring, in order to accelerate the maturity of new shoots and promote their growth.
There are two methods of pruning, one is young tree shaping and the other is young tree pruning. The first auxiliary main branch is about 30 away from the main branch, and each main branch has 23 auxiliary main branches, the directions of which are staggered with each other, forming a reasonable skeleton structure. Using the advantages of many buds and terminal buds of citrus trees, young trees can be pruned, and four methods can be used: wiping buds, releasing buds, picking tips and thinning branches. Adjust the growth balance between main branches by cutting degree and cutting direction, except for over-dense branches, inner cavity branches and weak branches in the middle and lower part of the crown, which should generally be retained.
